Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is a Hollywood writer and actress whose talent has earned the attention of critics and recognition. She's an Sagittarius born on December 3, 1960, in North Carolina. She's the eldest child of Peter Moore Smith a paratrooper as well as Anne, a psychology student. She's of English and Scottish origin. Due to her father's job the Moore family was often moved and she struggled to establish relationships or keep them. Short Cuts (1993), 3 Women (1997), and both were made with Robert Altman. The critically acclaimed performance of her in short-cuts (1993) was rewarded with several nominations. Moore played her first big performance in Safe which was a film from 1995. Steven Spielberg's choice to cast Moore as the lead in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which is among the most successful films of 1997, was a significant moment in Moore's career. The film she starred in was Magnolia (1999), which was critically acclaimed, and earned a SAG nomination for her part. The Hours, a 2002 film that she co-starred in alongside Nicole Kidman and Meryl Strreep was nominated for nine Academy Awards. Moore is also featured in The Forgotten (2004), Freedomland 2006, Shelter 2010, etc. In 2014 she appeared in Non-Stop. Moore has appeared in numerous films and shows. The most recent of her leading roles is in 2022, When You Finish Securing the World. In Hollywood She has also made herself a writer for kids. Her first book Freckleface Strawberry was published in 2007 and became one of the bestsellers on NY Times. Bestseller. It was later made into a series as well as a music. Her 2013 book, My Mom Is A Foreigner was also a best-seller. In her career as a highly successful actress and author Moore's personal life is public domain. She was married in 1984 to John Robin and in 1995 they separated. Bart Freundlich and Moore had two children together. Moore's main focus is her friends, family and her work.
